Isabelle Tseng is an award-winning composer from Florida whose music presents stories through emotional perspective and bridges cultures through shared human experience, for which she has been recognized for by organizations such as ASCAP and Luna Composition Lab, with her works having been performed by award-winning ensembles, such as Imani Winds, International Contemporary Ensemble, or Ensemble for these Times (E4TT), and in festivals hosted by the American Composers Orchestra, Boston University Tanglewood Institute, and Mannes School of Music, and others.
Isabelle is also an accomplished violinist. She has performed in festivals including the BUTI Young Artists Orchestra, All-National Symphony Orchestra, the Honor Orchestra of America, and was awarded First Prize at the 2022 New York International Young Musician Competition. Driven by her love of diverse musical textures, she seeks new permutations of sounds.
She has previously studied violin with mentors such as Ms. Rimma Bergeron-Langlois, Mr. Peter Manning at the Royal College of Music, Dr. Lev Gurevich, Ms. Bing Wang, Dr. Klaudia Szlachta, and Ms. Melissa White, and composition with Dr. Veronika Krausas at Luna Composition Lab and Dr. Seunghee Lee with the Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra.
She previously exchanged at the Royal College of Music in London in Fall 2025, and currently studies Math and Economics at Princeton University, where she plays in the Princeton University Orchestra, serves as assistant music director and Composer-in-Residence for Princeton Opera Company, music director for Princeton Chinese Theater, studies violin with Ms. Sunghae Anna Lim, and has continued her composition studies with Mr. Thomas Weaver.
In her free time, Isabelle enjoys learning new instruments (such as the guqin or flute), writing immaculate food reviews, and failing at crocheting.
